Natures Calling
UX Writing · Content Design · Web Redesign
Making environmental education content easier to understand, scan, and navigate.
01 / THE PROBLEM
Good information was getting buried.
Nature’s Calling had plenty to share about its programs and environmental initiatives, but important details were getting lost in lengthy sections of text.
The challenge? Making information easier to find and scan without losing the details that matter.

02 / THE APPROACH
Say what matters. Make it easy to find.
The goal wasn’t simply to cut down the text. It was to make information clearer, easier to navigate, and more useful to visitors.
01 — Clearer
Use simple, familiar language that gets straight to the point.
02 — Concise
Remove repetition without losing important details.
03 — Scannable
Organize content with clear headings and easy-to-follow sections.

03 / THE REWRITE
The writing changed the experience.
I reorganized key information, simplified language, and removed repetition to help visitors understand Nature’s Calling’s programs and how to get involved.
What changed:
Clearer language: Replaced complicated wording with straightforward explanations.
Better structure: Brought important details forward.
Less repetition: Kept the information visitors needed without the extra wording.
04 / SEEING THE WRITING IN CONTEXT
From copy document to interface.
I brought the revised content into a Framer wireframe to see how the writing, layout, and navigation could work together. The focus was on improving the content experience, not changing the organization’s visual identity.
Homepage
A clearer introduction to Nature’s Calling and the people its programs serve.
Content Structure
Shorter paragraphs and organized sections make information easier to scan.
Programs
Organizing programs by audience helps visitors find what’s relevant to them.

05 / REFLECTION
Writing isn’t separate from the experience.
This project changed how I think about UX writing. I learned that it’s not just about choosing the right words, but understanding what people need to know and when they need to know it.
Seeing my writing come to life in a wireframe reminded me that even small content decisions can shape how someone experiences an entire website.
