Fresh To You
Farm-to-Table Delivery Service
Fresh food, fewer hurdles. A local delivery concept connecting nearby farms with customers looking for convenient access to fresh produce.
01 / THE PROBLEM
Fresh food was close, but not always within reach.
Local farms had fresh produce to offer, but connecting with nearby customers wasn’t always easy. High grocery prices, limited access, and inconvenient shopping options created challenges for consumers, while smaller farms struggled to get noticed.
Four challenges
Limited Access — Fresh local produce wasn’t always easy to reach.
High Grocery Prices — Affordability remained a concern for shoppers.
Inconvenient Shopping — Finding fresh options often required extra time and travel.
Low Farm Visibility — Smaller farms struggled to reach new customers.

02 / THE OPPORTUNITY
What if the farm came to you?
Fresh To You explored a simpler way to connect local farms with nearby customers through a farm-to-door delivery service.
The concept focused on three things:
Convenience — Fresh produce delivered directly to customers.
Choice — Customers select the local products they want.
Local Connections — Giving nearby farms another way to reach their communities.

03 / HOW IT WORKS
From farm to front door.
A three-step service designed to make shopping for local produce simpler.
01 — You Choose
Browse and select fresh produce from local farms.
02 — We Pick Up
Fresh To You collects the selected products from participating farms.
03 — We Deliver
Your order arrives right at your doorstep.

04 / MAKING THE VALUE VISIBLE
One service. Two sides of the story.
Fresh To You was designed around the needs of both customers and local farms.
For Customers
Less time spent travelling, more convenient access to fresh produce, and greater choice when shopping locally.
For Local Farms
Another way to reach nearby customers, build visibility, and create opportunities for direct sales.

05 / BUSINESS MODEL
A good idea needs a business plan.
To explore how Fresh To You could operate as a business, we developed a model with three potential revenue streams.
Delivery Fees — $2.99–$4.99
Based on the distance of each delivery.
Farm Commissions — 10–15%
A proposed commission on orders placed with local farms.
Product Markup — 20–50%
A proposed markup on selected products to support operating costs.

06 / REFLECTION
The idea was bigger than delivery.
Fresh To You challenged me to think beyond the design of a product and consider everything needed to make a service work, from customer needs and farm partnerships to delivery logistics and business decisions.
I learned that a good service concept needs to work for everyone involved, not just the person placing the order. It pushed me to think more critically about how design, business, and the people behind a service all connect.
